The methodology employed by Hoyle, Schaefer, and Doupnik in the new edition enables college students to analyze accounting critically, just like they would when preparing for the CPA exam and in their future professions. Through this material, students develop a well-rounded understanding of the accounting field. While Hoyle 13e introduces them to the various aspects of the industry, it also delves into past disputes and present resolutions. The content continues to demonstrate the evolution of financial reporting as a result of ongoing, thought-provoking discussions that persist today and into the future.
The conversational style of the prior twelve editions has been highly commended. Students find chapter concepts easy to grasp due to the engaging tone used throughout the book. The authors have made diligent efforts to ensure that the writing style remains appealing, lively, and consistent, thus cementing its position as the leading text in advanced accounting. For the first time in the series, the thirteenth edition will feature the Smart E book®, maximizing study time efficiency and effectiveness. Also included are new algorithmic challenges for each chapter, enhanced test banks, and updated accounting standards.
