Dr. Michael C. Ehrhardt holds the position of professor emeritus at the University of Tennessee. He completed his studies in civil engineering and economics at Swarthmore College before obtaining an M.S. in industrial management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Subsequently, he worked as an engineer for several years before returning to Georgia Tech to earn an M.S. in operations research and a Ph.D. in finance. Throughout his career, Dr. Ehrhardt has taught various subjects at undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, including investments, corporate finance, and capital markets. He has also supervised and participated in numerous dissertation committees. Dr. Ehrhardt provides consultancy services in corporate valuation, value-based compensation schemes, and capital costing. His accolades include the Allen G. Keally Outstanding Educator Award, the Tennessee Organization of M.B.A. Students Faculty Award for Excellence, the College of Business Administration Teaching & Research Award, and the John B. Ross Excellence in Teaching Award in the College of Business. Dr. Ehrhardt has authored or co-authored several prominent finance publications, covering an array of financial areas. His research interests encompass corporate valuation, asset pricing models, and pricing models for interest-rate sensitive instruments. Dr. Eugene F. Brigham serves as a graduate research professor emeritus at the University of Florida, where he has been a faculty member since 1971. He earned his M.B.A. and Ph.D. from the University of California-Berkeley and his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina. Before joining the University of Florida, Dr. Brigham held teaching positions at the University of Connecticut, the University of Wisconsin, and the University of California-Los Angeles. As a former president of the Financial Management Association, he has authored numerous scholarly articles on the cost of capital, capital structure, and other financial management components. Dr. Brigham has written or co-written 10 textbooks on managerial finance and managerial economics, which are utilized across more than 1,000 universities in the United States and have been translated into 11 languages worldwide. Alongside his academic writing, Dr. Brigham remains active in teaching, consulting, and research endeavors. He has provided consultancy services to various corporations and governmental bodies, including the Federal Reserve Board, the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, the U.S. Office of Telecommunications Policy, and the RAND Corp. Dr. Brigham has also acted as an expert witness in numerous electric, gas, and telephone rate cases at both federal and state levels. In his leisure time, Dr. Brigham enjoys pursuing activities such as golfing, spending time with his loved ones and pets, and engaging in outdoor adventures like cycling through Alaska.
