Uncover insights into victimology from an genuine conventional written work within the sector. LEGAL LAW TARGETS: AN OVERVIEW TO VICTIMOLOGY, Ninth Version presents the most exhaustive and equitable investigation of victimology accessible at present. The writer assesses the victims’ struggle, meticulously contextualizing figures from the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report and Bureau of Justice Statistics Nationwide Crime Victimization Survey. In parallel, he “personalizes” victims’ accounts through engaging case studies. The work methodically inspects how victims are presently managed by the criminal justice mechanism, analyzes the aims of the victims’ rights advocacy, and speculates on what the future likely holds. In this updated edition, you will gain insights into the practical matters encountered by victims and explore “survivorology” and “by standerology.” You will also get a glimpse into the severity of intimate partner aggression, child mistreatment, sexual violations within the U.S. military, acquaintance assaults on college grounds, campus shootings, whether being armed for self-protection is a viable approach, and other prominent topics.
