Susan A. Nolan is a Psychology Professor at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, she earned a Ph.D. in psychology from Northwestern University. Susan explores the social implications of psychological disorders and the gender perspective in the fields of science and technology. Her research has received funding from the National Science Foundation. Susan represented the American Psychological Association (APA) as a non-governmental delegate to the United Nations for five years and currently serves as Vice President for Diversity and International Relations at the Society for the Teaching of Psychology. She has been elected President of the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA) for the 2014-2015 term and is recognized as a Fellow of both EPA and APA.
Don H. Hockenbury is a Psychology Professor at Tulsa Community College, where he has been teaching undergraduate students for more than three decades. While he enjoys the unique challenges of online instruction, he prefers the classroom setting for imparting the intricacies of psychological science and personal relevance. Don has been honored with the Teaching Excellence Award by Tulsa Community College. His educational background includes a B.S. in psychology and an M.A. in clinical psychology, both from the University of Tulsa. Before entering academia, he worked in psychiatric institutions and private practice. Don’s research interests focus on the scientific study of sleep and dreaming, biopsychology, memory, psychological disorders, and the historical development of psychology. He is affiliated with several professional organizations including the Association of Psychological Science (APS), American Psychological Association (APA), American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and the Sleep Research Society (SRS).
