  This is the inaugural Canadian version authored by Joanne C Jones. Dr. Jones is an Assistant Professor of Auditing and Management Data at York University. Her teaching focuses on auditing while her research delves into the accounting profession, probing into aspects like: ethics and professionalism, the regulatory impact on audit practices, and the globalization of the accounting field. She also explores academic ethics and accounting teaching, having published various educational audit cases in academic peer-reviewed periodicals. Dr. Jones actively serves as a reviewer for several academic journals and is engaged with the educational panel of the Canadian Academic Accounting Association (CAAA), presently holding the role of Associate Editor at Issues in Accounting Education. Before earning her PhD, she worked for several years as an external auditor at KPMG and as the Associate Director of Education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario (now CPA Ontario).
