About the Author
Charles H. Corwin has dedicated over 30 years to instructing chemistry to more than 10,000 students. He has taught general chemistry, organic chemistry, and quantitative analysis, but has primarily focused on introductory chemistry due to the personal fulfillment it provides.
Corwin earned his degrees at San Jose State University, where he was a member of Tau Delta Phi honor society. In the early stages of his career, he received a National Science Foundation grant to research educational advancements at Grand Valley State University. Currently, he serves as a chemistry professor at American River College, where he was honored as Teacher of the Year in 1994. He is also the recipient of an Alumni Teaching award from Purdue University.
